ベルリンのBärenzwingerというギャラリーにておこなったパフォーマンス作品の映像です。
Bärenzwingerはドイツ語で熊の檻という意味で、二年前まで実際に熊が育てられていて、ベルリンの市章が熊であることから象徴的な場所とされていました。2018年現在ではギャラリーとして使用されています。
今回のパフォーマンスはMiriam Jonas, Andreas Greiner, Ivy Lee FiebigによるHabitatという展覧会の一環として行わせていただきました。
Habitatは「営む場所」をテーマに、人と自然環境とアートをコンセプトにした展覧会です。（こちらを参照下さい。https://www.baerenzwinger.berlin/EN/Program/Habitat/）
私たちは設(Setu)という、山本晶大と塚本高史の二人によるユニットで苔を用いたパフォーマンスを行いました。
水の上に佇む小さな檻の中には、Bärenzwingerの中で採取した苔が敷き詰められてあります。

This performance art showed at Bärenzwinger in Berlin with architect Taka as artist gruop 設(Setu) that means install.
Bärenzwinger means cage of bear. So there were two beares lived but they gone two years ago. Then young curator organize there to gallery for artists. There is a symbolic space for Berlin because Berlin’s emblem is bear.
We showed this work as guest performance with the group exhibition Habitat by Miriam Jonas, Andreas Greiner and Ivy Lee Fiebig.

We made a small cage and put moss that picked from inside of Bärenzwinger. And I read a poem and an explanation about moss. Moss is a symbolic stuff for Japanese. It is a symbol of time and patina. Bears are gone but there are moss and plants flourish in the cage.
